Hi Guys

I'm looking for advice on best shooting format for head & Shoulders against a green screen.

I read on the forum "Greenscreen will look better in 1080 and downconverted than it does in DVCPro50."

But I was set to go with DVDPro50.

Can anyone recommend the best format and frame-rate please.

End product is to be slotted into a normal DVD.

Thanks

Vince

If you're doing an SD project DVCPro50 will word great for green screen. I've had great results in SD as well as HD, just make sure you light properly.

1080 30p or 24p will give you the best results. But yes, you have to light properly whatever you decide to shoot with.

I've had success in both DVC pro 50 and 1080 and 720 HD. Lighting is important, wardobe, and a eye for detail regarding green spill, green light reflecting from the screen on to the subject.

Recently I've found having the light level for the screen at or above key level helpful at times because the added luminance sometimes helps separate the subject from the background.
