Hi,
I am using often a Pol Filter for wide scenic shots mostly to cut through haze and get the sky a bit nicer.
But I noticed, that the autofocus goes crazy with that filter on. (Settles somewhere in Macro Range) Is that normal? Is the glass in Front of the Lens irritating the Autofocus? I also often shoot through Glass Windows, would that have the same effect?

While some folks have good luck with the HVX's auto focus...your best bet is to not use it. Focus is incredibly critical when you are shooting HD. So, take the time to focus properly and you will come away with better images.
