I have made another montage type thing, originally had planned something different but I caught a crap virus and was laid up. But, I managed to go out a couple of days later for a couple of hours and knocked out a few more shots and put them to music.

Go to my blog to read what I used to shoot it and of course to see it!

I hope you enjoy it.

Philip

what do you mean? If you want to see it go to my blog. Why does that make you go agh? Am only sharing stuff for people to see and get ideas from...

Really cool stuff once again! No price for spotting the author on this one ay? :) Especially loved the timelapse scene from the riverbank where the heavy clouds are graded yellowish and the lower part of image has different grading.

Lovely. The Letus + EX1 seems to provide a whole lot of exposure latitude.

ahh, it was the tilt shift lens that created those strange areas of focus and soft image. Very freaking cool.

Although some of your shots looked like you didnt zoom in enough. Soft edges and vignetting. But otherwise the composition was beautiful, the editing was nice and flowing, colors were rich and warm and very filmic indeed!

nice!

i was sarcastic. I knew you Brits have no humour. I visit your blog at least 3 times a week and watch all your clips. Great inspiration.

sorry for the misunderstanding

I bet those were all there on purpose.

A significantly powerful eye you have in capturing images that most other users strive for. You show powerfully what can be done with this tools we share. Thank you Phil.

As always, thanks Phil. Radio Head is one of my favorite groups :)

Phil does a lot of post on these so anything we are seeing as far as vignette or softness, I am sure is intentional.

Most of the vignette is during the tilt/shift shots and are probably from the lenses.

It's actually a problem with the EX-1. There should be a solution/fix soon for EX-1 owners, but the problem lies with the Camera's lens unfortunately. Although Bloom's MAY be intentional.

that was done for fun but the makers have literally just bought it for their website!

lot of swing tilt lenses. the ones i used are listed on my blog. I used them to give a certain look.

The opening timelapse pan was simply shot in 1080p and the timeline was 720p so I was able to zoom in and move across in the edit

Sorry, by the by I was referring to the dark edges, not the out-of-focus areas.

there are only a few. They are post vignettes. Any particular shots you talking about?

The very first shot of the feet at a low angle. Dark on both sides. I didn't realize that was a post effect. Sorry about that. I know that another member has vignetting issues that look just like that.

Strangely enough, in your footage it doesn't even bother me. Hmm.

Thats because, to me anyway, it looks rather organic.

Great job Phil!

No, I agree with you McGee. Phil makes me glare at my HVX like a disappointed father.

"Why can't you be as sharp as Phil's kid!?!?", I ask.

It responds "Cause you ain't treatin' me right, Pa!".

it's true. I kept my HVX in a box without hardly letting her ever see the light of day. My Ex1 and I go for walks all the time. I was a bad father to my HVX!

Very impressive stuf.
I'm a good father for my HVX but the Ex1 seems to be a nicer kid...
