Ok, so the prizes are finally officially announced.

First, wanna say thanks to Jarred for running the baddest filmmaking community on the planet. You rock, Jarred.

Second, thanks to all of the users who participate in the fests, either by submitting entries or by viewing and participating in feedback and voting. These fests have tons of potential all the way around, and I look forward to seeing them continue to grow. So, thanks to all of you.

And, of course, last but certainly not least, a huge shout-out to all of our sponsors. Without you as well, there would be no DVXUser. We are committed to sponsor relationships that will be to the benefit of our members. We love it when folks are a post away from a sponsor, or honest feedback on a product, etc, etc. We have a unique relationship with sponsors and members, and we look forward to further fostering that.

All of that out of the way, I'd like to give special recognition to our festival sponsors for LoveFest. Last fest we had almost $10,000.00 in prizes. This fest, things got even bigger. Our sponsors have donated over $15,000.00 in prizes for LoveFest! In addition, there are new products in the prize pool that haven't even hit the store shelves yet! They are making some of these products available for the first time, exclusively on DVXUser for the winners of DVXFest's LoveFest. So a huge thank you to:

Abel Cine, Callbox Live, Cinevate, Cineventions, DVeStore, DVtec, indiFOCUS, Kessler Crane, LS Design, RedLightning Software, Redrock, Silverback Equipment, Varizoom, Wrightsville Beach Studios/Fiercely Independent Films.

Thank you very much to everyone. Good luck to all of the participants, and let the games begin.

Prize list HERE (http://www.dvxuser.com/jason/LoveFestPrizes)

All prizes listed will be awarded to participants of "LoveFest" - DVXuser.com's DVXFest, Free, Online, Independent Film Festival.

Later,
Jason

I'm not even half way through the 2nd place prize package and I'm simply AMAZED.

Wow what prizes!

EDIT: And the rest of the list did (of course) not disappoint. I'm speechless. THANK YOU to all our sponsors for an incredible donated prize pool!

That. Is. Amazing.

It really makes me wish I had time to put an entry together, but I can't wait to see how the entries for this fest turn out.

Good luck to all the filmmakers, and props to the people who put all this stuff together for us!

Wow those look great. Good luck to those entering. It shouldn't be about the prizes but it's hard not to make it that way. :)

wow, awesome prizes!!! would it be unethical to intentionally make my film crappy in hopes of winning barry's tech support award?

Jason Ramsey

I think we'll know if you make it intentionally crappy :)

EDIT: I know you're joking, but it won't necessarily be for the "worst" film or whatever. It'll be for someone that Barry/David, think would benefit the most from one of their products. Word is they've got a new DVD coming soon on Audio for Film or something, that would probably be a nice thing to have.

There are some from previous fests that I would like to think were intentionally crappy...but I'm sure they weren't...intentional, that is...

I'm think I nearly passed out looking at the prize page. To shadow snodart "Good lord man". Stunning list of prizes.

Just today I was thinking woudln't it be good if best script got a copy of Final Draft? That sort of thing. So great to see the best cinematography/sound prizes.

You've outdone yourself DVXuser but where to from here? Next fest first prize will have to be a viper or genesis, or maybe a ferrari.

That is awesome. I finished principal photography this week, and then got settled nd said..."eh, maybe I won't finish in time." But now, I've got a fire lit under me. Good luck everybody, and thank you to the sponsors and Fest choreographers.

Ha ha, I was reading the list and said: "Yeah, that's some good stuff!" Then I got to the part that said: "SECOND PRIZE." I went: "WHA?????" All of that was JUST the first prize???

Where is that bug-eyed emoticon?

Jason Ramsey

First time festival submissions. If you've never submitted a film in a fest before, you would be eligible.

uh... (gulp!).... I wasn't really striving for a prize other than the "award" of making a film and gaining new skills while attempting to enhance what little I know about this craft. BUT

THOSE PRIZES LOOK AMAZING!!!!!!!! (why, why did I have to look at them!?!?!)

Wow. Great work Jason and Jarred! That list of prizes is incredible!

THANK YOU SPONSORS!!!!!!!!!

holy cow - i heard the prize packages were slick, but good lord!

my only regret about this fest is that it's totally online. it would be great to meet everyone participating! beyond that it is by far the best (and most intense) fest experience i've been involved with.

kudos jason, these prizes are mind blowing!
