Hey there,
We're doing a narrative short in the woods with an HVX200 and an SG Pro prime lens adapter. The director has insisted on shooting night for night. We do have some high output lights but what I'm wondering about is video noise. We want these shots to actually look like dark woods lit only by an occasional hit of moonlight or scattered campfires. So in other words, very dark. Maybe too dark for the HVX. I've noticed before that the HVX doesn't deal with blacks too well and I'm worried that even if talent is lit close to key or a stop under, they will be swimming in a pool of black video noise. Any thoughts?
Many thanks!
