Hi everyone,

I own a HVX202 and I am going to buy a P2 16g for HVX200 from somebody that I don't know. And he's selling it at a very low price. It's a really good deal, almost too good to be true. So, I need your advice on how do I make sure that the P2 card is working perfectly with my camera and how do I make sure that he is not trying to cheat me as I am a total beginner in the industry.

Thank you in advance. Any advice is appreciated.

try it before you buy it

thanks for your reply. By trying, do you mean just place it in the slot and record? Then, if it works, I don't have to worry anymore? Is there such things like the card only works when recording and problematic when capturing? I'm sorry if that is a stupid question.

maybe it's stolen...... or maybe they are just tryin to get rid of it cause they have to pay the rent. Either way, check their refrences...

Just a quick heads-up - I had my HVX stolen in November, complete with 2 16Gb P2 cards. I have been trying to trace these, but without success. I'm based in the UK. I'd be very wary about someone selling cheap P2 cards (why would they?)

If it records, it works. I have never heard of one failing like a hard drive with a few "bad sectors".
