DV SD is compressed 5:1 with 4:1:1 color.

(I believe) DVCpro100 (1080) is 3.6ish:1 with 4:2:2 color.

That will get you started but others will chime in with the correct figures.

According to the manual for the HVX the compression rate for all settings is about 6.7. So DvcPro (25) starts out as 25Mb/s and is compressed by 6.7 to about 3.7Mb/s. DvcPro 50 is about double that 7.4Mb/s and DvcPro HD is roughly double that at about 14.8 Mb/s. These figures vary slightly depending on what you are shooting, what settings, and what frame rate. So if you are shooting 720pn (native) then you will have a starting data rate of either 50 or 40 Mb/s (30fps or 24fps). So your resulting compressed rate would resemble DvcPro 50 rates.
