Was just messing around with 3D objects and letus footage to see how well it would mesh and track. Came out ok seeing as I threw it together very quickly. I'm gonna work on some more detailed shots with moving 3d objects, I used the teapots as a quick throw in object. HDRI lighting is a bit off cause I didn't get a chance to create a light probe when shooting this footage so I had to fake it. Gonna work on a proper setup when I get the chance with some rotating camera footage. Hope you guys like it and remember, constructive criticism is always welcome.

Excellent. camera tracking/matchmoving adapter footage can be difficult as the shallow DOF makes it hard to find good tracking points.

Also, did you photograph your own HDRI?

Very cool. Are you exporting your HDV into PRORez for compositing? I would imaging HDV would be a rough codec for this work.

I normally do but that particular one was from some stock lightprobes that I thought matched the environment the closest. The DOF was the biggest challenge which made me curious to see how well matchmoving would hold up with 35mm DOF.

It held up surprisingly well even with DOF. I downscaled the footage to 720P and ran it through syntheyes for matchmoving ( my PC is kinda slow). I was expecting some funky results but it was pretty painless.
