That´s the same setup as my MBP, should work just fine...

I've never used an IMac, but I travel with a 1ghz Titanium PowerBook w/ 1g memory and FCP 5.1.4 that I primarily use to transfer files from P2 to external hard drives...

Although I've never done a full-on edit with it, occasionally, on the road, I have done quick rough edits of sequences to check continuity. I have never experienced any problems or lack of ability to work with DVCPRO HD on this 1ghz machine - so you should have no problems either I would think...

FYI - I shoot 720/24pn and set up my Sequence for 24p.

An iMac with core duo isn't a G5 iMac.

FCP 5.1.4 is a UB version and you shouldn't have problems.
