I'm going to be shooting in the Galapagos at the end of the month and plan on shooting 720Pn with the final product the web.

My question would be: considering it will be for the web, would you shoot 24 frames or 30 frames?

Thanks,

Tai

You should probably shoot it at 24, just to save bandwidth. When encoding,
you might want to reduce it further, say, to 16. Of course, a lot depends
on what you're shooting.

I'd shoot 30. That way you can sell some as stock footage.

That makes sense. Thanks for the tip.

You can sell 24p as stock footage, too.

How easy is it to sell stock footage?

If someone can use it, it will sell. That being said, I have over 800 clips on a microstock site, and only about 1 out of 10 has sold - but many have sold several times- the ones with above
average composition, color, subject matter, etc are more likely to sell. Except for timelapse,
all 800+ clips are 24P.
