I have done some basic storyboarding and blocking in Cinema 4D in the past just using primitive shapes like a rectangle for a desk and figurines for my actors, I have the program for logo designs and animation but I know nothing about the modeling.

My question is if anyone knows where I can buy a large pack of models of common objects that would assist in storyboarding, characters, cars, phones, chairs, etc.? Something I can just drop in, resize and place where I need it.

Also what formats can be imported into C4D, I had some problems loading models for 3DS and Lightwave, can they not be imported, or am I just doing something wrong?

try turbosquid, and when you search for objects, you can order by price, usually there is lots of free stuff, sometimes some really good stuff (like a high poly car) can be had for $10, some great bargins.

The format depends on the artist who uploads it. I think C4D can import .obj

You can import objects from Lightwave into C4D. I've done it plenty of times. What happens when you try and import?
