I want to get the Black Magic Intensity card. I know at one time, it did not support 720p 24 but now I see that under technical specs it lists the support of 720p 59.94. I am wondering if because the 720p 24 frame rate in DVC PRO HD is based on the 59.94 frame rate, will I be able to use this card connected to an hdmi monitor as a viable solution to preview monitoring?

are you on a mac or pc? if mac, this thing only works on intel macs

I can play back a 24p timeline through the intensity using FCP.

I believe the preset is 720/24p over 60

I use the 720/59.94 setting (I don't have one for 23.98 or 24). Seeme to work fine for me! I'm not 100% sure what frame rate the Intensity sends to the TV; but it certainly provides much cleaner 24-frame-motion than if I set the Intensity to downconvert to NTSC. It looks great.
