Suggestions with my Optura Xi

I'm trying to push my Optura Xi to its limits, because I know what it is capable of. I've been trying to find some shotgun mics that can be easily and convieniently be equipped. (hopefully on the hotshoe). any suggestions? I'm not looking for anything too expensive, just cheap and that'll get the job done.

Also, can anyone help me achieve a better cinematic look? I want to choose a lens or an adapter hopefully to enhance that, the problem is I do not know what to look for. In terms of Wide angle, and Telephoto lens, or possibly a mm adapter. I need something to get me a better depth in subjects.

Could someone please explain which to choose, or any recommendations?
