We got a noga arm for our HPX and 8 inch Pana monitor.
Never played with one before. I thought the block would screw into the accessory shoe (if that's what its called once you get out of prosumer camera mode).....

Anyone have experience with the noga arm and can tell me what I'm missing/need to do.

The particular one we (I think) received is: http://www.abelcine.com/store/product.php?productid=11062&cat=799&page=3

I've got the same one EXCEPT there's no "block" on the end. W/o seeing it better, I can't tell how the block end would be used. Mine has 1/4-20 screw on both ends, one has small nut, one has large (like yours). Small side guzinta the monitor, large nut tightens down onto whatever (camera thread, or, like we use, a c-stand w/ threaded stud.... easier to position, w/o getting in the way of quick handheld shots).
