Dead Pixel:(

Has anyone had any problems with dead pixels. Just got to go out and do several shots got back and looked at the footage and yes on my new camera a dead pixel. Got a:embarasse call into Able Cine to see what we can do. Just wondering if anyone else has had any issues?

Sweet. Thanks for the heads up. Jerrod at Able is having there tech call me and hopefully get it resolved. I guess it was a good thing i didn't sale my hvx before i bought the hpx. I still have a camera to work with will this getting fixed. I was surprised having owned a d-30 and dsr-500 we had no problems with them from day one. Anyway the camera rocks and look forward to getting it fixed and using in daily biz.

Try a black balance. Sometimes that gets rid of the bad pixels.

I tried that first thing and it didn't work. It does look to be intermittent, in that i can watch the dead pixel come and go.

Im sorry. Thats the first person I have heard of this happening to with the hpx500. How large is the effected pixel? is it just one pixel in 1080 format or is it a group of pixels?

Its just one pixel and I found it in the 720 24pn footage i shot. I will see what happens in 1080. thanks for the feed back. i appreciate it.

Tried a couple of tests today and found the pixel was only out in 24p mode. So after having the camera on for a couple of hours today did another black balance and the pixel was fixed:)
