I totally love the portrait of the tree:) The fog in this shot is what does it for me. Somehow I think it would look outstanding if the top quarter or so were cropped out, say from the top of the image to just slightly above the first bridge light on the left. This is just MY opinion obviously:) It is a really great shot, love the colors.
Later on.....Actually I take the whole crop idea back, I couldn't see the whole image on my screen , somehow I came up with a fix for that mentally that required a crop. However, after playing with the idea in PS, I now think your version works well as it is. Good work all around on your part:thumbsup:

very nice Timur, did you try RAW yet?
I really like the #1, #4 and especially #5 on the first set.
The last photo with the bridge has some noise but not too shabby for iso 3200
What do you use for post processing? Damn I want a 5D now! Try some HDR man, you certainly got the right equipment for the job.

Those pics are mighty impressive. I really like #4.
What kind of lighting are you using? It looks natural but almost too-good natural.

i dont really do post processing.... i dont know how to use photoshop. i just resize stuff for the web. Hence the sometimes inconsistent WB. but i wanted a sepia pink look. so i bounced a light off some red plastic, then white balances on some thing blueish.
Find a cool exterior location, and have them stand in the light then shoot. I dont care about image grain so long as i get the shot.

Timur - fantastic pictures! Glad to see someone using the light in creative ways like with WB and bouncing off the red. I always enjoy using things in my environment to manipulate the light. Just yesterday I had the joy of realizing I could bounce my flash backwards into my projector screen and it made a giant bounceboard out of it at a small family event. Worked like a charm. Anyways happy shooting!

Am I the only one that cannot see the bridge/fog photo that is mentioned?
Larry
Edit: Never mind ... I got it now. Phantomastic shot! :)

learning photoshop is a must, even if you are a purist. The color noise in the bridge photo can easily be turned into colorness noise/grain with one easy raw adjustment.

The 4th and the last one make it for me. The last one has something magical that I love.

Ha, the first thing I did was bring the first pic of Timur into PS and adjust the skin tones a bit and sharpen. I'm addicted to processing now, I've had photoshop for years, I've just never used it for photos. It's a new world!

This was only a few minutes in PS. I'm learning through trial and error.

Dude, you really are making me want a 5D now...I love my Nikon, don't get me wrong...but the 5D is just something different, a very great organic reproduction, and a fantastic grain structure. Love all the shots!

Man, you should write a project to shoot where you become older. David could play your older you.
I have checked out your other pictures at picassa. You have some really nice stuff there. I can't wait to get my D40.

#4 is great. But what's that smudge on his cheek?
