Hey all, I'm about to head out on a trip to London, and want to pick up a few more memory cards. I have one 1GB card already.

What brand of cards do you recommend for me? Thanks!

i got a 16g cf samsung generic for 100$ something on ebay. It is a bit slow compared to the 300x branded ones but it is does the job. around 1200 raw 10 megapixels on one card.

I don't think the D50 will work with a 16gig card... any thoughts?

I use both SanDisk and Kingston without touble.

I've got 2GB SD cards (3 of them now!) in my Canon DigiRebel XT - at Large .jpg I get just over 500 shots per card. That's even a busy day of shooting on a card without changing.

At about $20 for a 2GB card these days, it's allready FAR cheaper than film even if you don't re-use the cards. As a latop owner with restricted hard drive space, it's almost cheaper to just keep buying SD cards and archiving directly on them from the camera!

Buy a pack of some (any) name brand cards and you should be set.

I use Sandisk and haven't had any problems with them.

I just got a d40, and got the "SanDisk" Extreme III 2.0GB, about 40+ dollars from B&H, so far so good...
