Okay, I remember seeing something written in here about exporting or how to get the files from the Sony EX1 camera to work in Avid. However, I don't remember exactly which thread and which page anymore. Any help is much appreciated. I want to get the MP4 files so that I can import the footage into Avid.

Okay, I updated to the latest version and it exported to MXF file fine but when I play the file in Avid, nothing happens. I only see green in the monitor. Any other idea? Is it Avid or the Sony Clip Browser software?

First off, If you are using a MAC G5 it doesn't work period. If you are using a MAC Intel, I believe you have to still do the export on a PC ( this is just from the tech notes I've been reading online.) Avid does note yet support, It'll be first quarter of next year before Avid
will have a solution in place.
Big question is are you on a PC or MAC--check Avid.com forums
Hope that Helps

Thanks for the input. I'm using a PC. I am also checking the avid.com site too. So far, some of the solutions proposed in their site doesn't work for me.

Did you get it to work? because if I buy one, I'll be in the same situation.
Where did you buy yours?

Also--did you download the drivers to your avid machine?

So far all the solutions I'v found does not work. I purchased from Roscor, I believed. The retailer that sold me the EX1 also confirms that 35Mbit file will not work in Avid. I did test the 25Mbit file and it works fine in Avid. However, what I wanted is HD quality and not SP quality.
