congratulations! :)

i am very much considering purchasing this esteemed little camera, and also the Brevis 35mm system (to get yummy depth-of-flield.. or should i say, reduced depth-of-field) .. also considering the sennheiser wireless mics, a film light to go on the electronic foot..

just wondering if there is going to be a pcmcia or firewire HDMI capture card in the similar pricerange to the $200 (pci) Intensity... because then, it would be possible to just bring the macbook pro along for the ride, and capture uncompressed HD footage direct to hard disk, streaming from the camera's sensor directly the HDMI output, connected to the HDMI capture card -> macbook pro. obviously i have been thinking about this, heh. :)

sounds like joining a new religion or something heh..

i read a great piece of advice on these forums at dvxuser: "When's the best time to buy a camera? When you need it." man, that is such good advice, if only i could remember who typed it.

anyway, if you have seen the footage from other HV20 users, and feel confident about the shutter-locking technique with a bright screen phone, and can see what route you wish to take re/ 24p or 60i workflow, then you have a good chance of making a good purchase and getting good results.

just remember the on-camera mics will not be satisfactory; you might need a pair of sennheiser wireless mics, or other, depending on your audio needs, if any.
