Wishing everyone happy holidays from oklahoma! Why is Christmas Eve your favorite David? Come to think of it (especially when I was younger) I always enjoyed the anticipation and build up to Christmas. Anymore I just enjoy these few days getting to be around family and eat lots of crap. Anyways, hope everyone has a merry Christmas (or whatever celebration you may or may not celebrate)!

Heres a question. Do Americans refer to December 26th as Boxing Day?

Heres a question. Do Americans refer to December 26th as Boxing Day?
no. i refer to to 26th as the day my wife angrily exchanges my awful gifts for what she really wants.

Well its not really a holiday but I was just curious if its refered to that.
I was just speaking to someone in the States and I mentioned how the office would be closed on Boxing Day and they were like "Huh? whats Boxing Day?", which is cool, just thought that the 26th was generally known as Boxing Day in North America. Maybe it's a British thing and thats where we got it from.

I'm basically making the rest of my gifts tonight. I got a job so I could buy people things this year, but they waited until two weeks ago to train me, and I've only been called in a few times. I'm working tonight as a matter of fact. Unfortunately, I won't get my first pay check until saturday, so I decided to make things. But I didn't want to be lame and just make a normal card, so I made a video christmas card about how I had to make everyone's gifts. I would have done all this sooner, but the complete idea didn't occur to me until last night. I made a DVD with the video christmas card/short film, with a little video I made of my one year old niece, and some short films, since my parents are always bugging me about giving them copies of my films. Instead of putting them in jewel cases or whatever, I'm making special cards for everyone, and the DVD will be inside, so they can keep it in their christmas card.

Well, last year this time was my daughter's first christmas and it made me look at the whole holiday thing from a different perspective, with fresh eyes, and actually appreciate the meaning (or the meaning for me) behind them like I never had before.
This year, it's her 2nd Christmas and she kinda knows what's going on about it all a bit now. And, our 2 month old is now about to celebrate her first christmas tomorrow. Now, I'm just thinking about when they are both teenagers.... I hope I get rich soon
Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays to you all. Doesn't feel like Christmas yet though. It's getting there... It was just here before I knew it.
