Smudge TV

Hi All,
Our company is launching an internet only channel in 3rd quarter 2008. Think Wayne’s World meets Howard Stern, Saturday Night Live meets MadTV, Bevis and Butthead meet Spike TV and you get the concept.
The producers have decided to shoot with a two camera set-up using HPX500’s in the studio and and two HVX200's when it’s lighter weight is needed (on location, in cars, etc.).
1. For the 500's which HD lenses make the most sense for our planned application? While I have a list of choices, I think it’s been narrowed down to a couple of the Fuji or Canon 2/3” HD Cine Zooms. I see there are a lot of different models for each manufacturer of these lenses and I struggle to understand the difference other than price (HAc15x7.3B, HJ21x7.5B-IIm, HAc18x7.6B, HA13x4.5B, HJ8x5.5B KLL-SC, etc.).
2. The other presented option is to buy a set of HD Primes for each camera, HD FJs55, HD FJs24, HD FJs14. Pricey but in the long run does this buy us more flexibility to get into dramatic and feature production? Can anyone tell me their preferred lenses and which focal lengths they recommend? Can you even get a follow focus/extended eyepiece for the HPX500? Looking at their shopping lists, I need to know the sensible route as our production partners can get silly with their requests and I’d love to have some knowledge to throw back their way.
3. The HPX500 has room for (4) 32GB P2 cards correct? Myself and our editor/encoder are trying to determine the best way for each camera to shoot an 8 hour studio day with minimal delays in downloading footage. Considering we will be internet based I am sure we will not be shooting the highest quality HD possible. Not sure if we’ll even shoot HD for now. On location we are looking at the AG-HPG10 Field Recorder but I cannot find any experiences if it’s very slow (as in the P2 Store).
Vendors feel free to drop me a PM as we’ll be getting quotes in January based on the final decisions.
Thanks a million in advance,
Billy
