Hi all,

Fairly new to this forum so I apologise if this has been covered before. Has anyone ever purchased a DSLR off ebay. Im looking into a 400D and am amazed at some of the price range of £350 - £400 including a kit lense as opposed to £500 in stores. Can i trust these ebayers as they state on the pages a '90 day canon guarantee'. Advice would very much appreciated, thanks in advance.

I've purchased half my equipment including a body or two from ebay. BUT, buyer beware as always. You gotta research the seller! Some ebayers sell gray market junk, so look for reputable stores that have ebay accounts. I've used Cameta a few times, they are awesome and have an ebay store. There are others but it takes research. There's about 3to1 garbage ratio on photo equip on ebay, the trick is to find the good ones. Go into their history and check out their feedback for sure. Then, ask them tons of questions about the warranty, USA made, gray market, etc. the reputable ones will answer all your questions, the jokers will either not respond or become rude.

Good luck!
