I like the lighting I got on these. Shot with D80 70-300 with SB-600 off-camera. Not bad for cheap equipment, nice day today outside helped...

Thanks man! So I tried something different with this one, just for fun, kind of a magazine look. His face is a little blown out but I think it's still kinda cool...

Thanks DD, The flash is just off camera left in both I beleive, slightly above their heads angled down? Don't totally remember I move it around a lot. I just shot this dude at 230 today, I'm on a roll with ligh today, sorry if I'm sharing too much...

Hey alveraz, your shots are getting better and better. Your more recent ones look very professional. Not that your first headshots were bad or anything, but these are much better.

Thanks guys, yeah, I think I'm progressing too. Still a long way to go but for 6 months of shooting they're not so bad. As for the stand, yes, just a stand with hot-shoe and SB-600 on top.
