I'm curious if the LoveFest entries will be mostly Comedies or Dramas.
Mine is definitely a Drama although I think (hope) we have one funny line.

I don't think I can vote because it's really both. Kind of like how stories can be both bitter & sweet. (well, that's the aim on paper, we'll see how it translates on screen)

Drama. Mine is going to be pretty straight up. I am using this as a chance to focus on story structure and sort of the technical aspects of story-telling. I generally get all of my funnies out in my comedy series, so tend to do Dramas here.
Comedy, simply because I don't do drama (yet). Hopefully we have a healthy mix of both.

Ours is intended as drama. In fact, we may have to cut the enema scene to keep the dramatic arc flowing.

I thought the entire point of those was to aid in flowing.
Hmm.
Shows what I know.

Comedy or drama? Although I haven't made a final decision on entering, I have something totally different in mind. LoveFest could be comedy, drama, thriller, horror, action, experimental, kung-fu, cartoon animation, claymation, or a hundred others. Opps, did I give it away?

Drama.
But I though all comedies had drama, now I'm really confused.

Voted drama and that's probably what I'd like to see more of on this fest.

i need to take back my Drama vote... at the very best, our project is going to be uniquely genreless!

Why isn't the pornography genre an option? This is LoveFest isn't it?
Luis Caffesse
12-03-2007, 08:47 AM
It's not an option because it's something that isn't condoned or allowed on DVXUser.

so are most of the comedies going to be romantic comedies?
Zak Forsman

uga, i would say that I F*cking Hate You is closest in spirit to a drama about a character with a very humorous way of expressing himself romanticly. Not a typical romcom.

We tried to maintain seriousness throughout, but I think the subject matter counteracted that.

I hope you do a comedy for the next fest. I think that you have a talent for that genre.
Mine doesn't fall into either of those.

As much as I'd love to see some comedy ones, I think good old dramatic rom's are gonna take this one. Though it would be nice to see something taking the micey out of love.
A bit like that new film coming out, taking the mick out of Walk the Line.
