Well, the gentleman who was originally going to do VFX for "Berlin" has had his schedule fill up, and can no longer do it. The production value of the film has been solid so far, so I'd hate for the VFX to be the weak spot, and need someone who knows what they're doing, as the time & interest, and has the ability to do it for copy/credit.

First, if you want to get some idea of the production value, you can see a music video I put together to show some select clips from the film (cast & crew were begging to see footage). This video does not represent the final CC of the film: http://www.eefilm.com/berlin/clips/berlin-cabaretvideo.wmv

There is also a low res version available on my MySpace at www.MySpace.com/NormSanders (http://www.MySpace.com/NormSanders)

The VFX needed are primarily the following (what I can think of off hand):

Film title - something classy, yet foreboading (sp?), using Vladimir Script font - animated.
Taking a HIGH resolution photo of a building, and making it set in 1941, Germany. The building is already old, and has some great detail, but things like modern signs, street lamps, etc. need to be replaced and or deleted (lots of Photoshop skills here), with perhaps some Nazi banners drapping down the side of the building. Replacing the street with a cobble stone texture, etc. Old model cars parked (animated is not necessary) along the road, etc. The photo (non HDR version) can be pulled from www.eefilm.com/berlin/vfx (http://www.eefilm.com/berlin/vfx)
There is a scene where a knife has been stabbed into someone. It would be great if a realistic drop of blood could be seen beginning to run down the blade, etc. ... but only if it looks REAL and can blend with the scene.
Anyone interested? Any takers?

PM me, if you are, or post Q's in here. We've had a pretty solid cast & crew attached to this (click the banner below to be taken to the thread), and would love to be able to complete it with the right VFX person.

Thanks in advance!
Norm

Ideally a couple of weeks. I was hoping to have the DVD available before Christmas, but it's more important to me to have everything spot on, than to rush simply to meet a deadline.

Our composer will likely have the score, etc. in within a couple of weeks, so hoping it can all come together at the same time....

Hmm.. yeah I don't think that'll jive with my schedule as I'm in the middle of a production at the moment too. ;)

I watched the video though.. looks like you're getting some good stuff.

Ah Norm, long time no talkie eh?

I'd be interested in helpin' ya out (and I swear I really know what I'm doing this time, I've come a long way since those tests for Sparrow) but I can't do anything until after December 15th (I graduate then and I'll have some more time to dedicate to other projects).

Anyhoo, PM me if you're interested.

Hey norm. What res is your film shot in, and how long is the shot where you want the drop of blood running down the blade? If you can send me to a little .wmv or something of the shot ill esitmate it and let you know if I can get it done soon for you pending the work it would need. Im crazy busy as im sure we all are this time of the year, but I can probably squeak out a short composite for you for the knife. I dont think id have time for the building composite. possibly the title but im not really sure of what your looking for.
