Wow, I pretty much hated them in my youth (more of an Anthrax/Suicidal/Motorhead guy), but I had recently come to enjoy them a little.
Sucks.

Me too Jim
I always loved their hits of course, but when he ran smack at the Crue and Ratt I took it personally. LOL

Whisky a Go Go, 1979
Quiet Riot
opened for
Michael Nesmith. :)
(REALLY obnoxious/puerile opening to their show.)

I got to see them several, a few years ago on Fourth of July. Twas Slaughter (better live band than not), Quiet Riot, Warrant (is it really Warrant with Jani Lane and a bunch of who the fuck is that), and Dokken (minus George Lynch of course). Was a great show. Also have a picture of myself with Rudy Sarzo (the bassist) when he was with Whitesnake. Sad to hear about Kevin. I always liked Quiet Riot myself.

Is that the Monkees Michael Nesmith? How did those two styles mesh?

I was friends in high school with Anthony Esposito, who was George's bass player in Lynch Mob. Super nice guy and an AMAZING musician.
