I just rented an HVX200 to get DVCPro Hd footage of an old mill. I need to empty the P2 cards and do more, but I'm afraid the files did not transfere to my PC.

I do not have editing software yet, but want to know if the files transfered from the HVX to my PC properly.

Is there a way to tell for sure?

Also, is there a way to play these files on my PC, even though I don't have an editing program?

Please help.

Thank you.

Panasonic has two free programs that will let you view the files, P2 Viewer and P2 Content Management System. I prefer the former.

If you're looking around for panasonic files (http://panasonic.sixbullets.net), try my page.

You could also download a 30 full trial of EDIUS BROADCAST version 4 or 4.5 as this will not only let you see the footage, but also have a play editing it as well.

Thats for PC.

Enjoy !

Also when you transfer make sure you copy the whole folder on the card, not just the video files.

Thanks
