hey guys, hope everyone is having a great thanksgiving with their families or their significant other, anyway I was looking at a international film festival and I wonder, lets say I shot a full feature on the hvx and transfered it to 35mm

when the festival asks you to send the movie in its original format, what do you do? technicaly the original format is HD

am I right?

how would you send it?

Depends on the festival. Usually when they say original format they mean not a DVD.
If you had paid for a film conversion, you'd send film. You're not going to spend that kind of money for nothing! But you probably wouldn't need to pay for a film conversion until you were selected by a top-tier festival.

Why bother paying for a filmout?

Seriously, ANY festival, by the time you finish a feature should be accepting HD films for festival exhibition. It's pretty much a given that film is on the way out for origination AND exhibition.

But yeah, they mean HD in your case.
