Chances are this has been covered on this site, didn't search through the forums to check, so forgive me if this is old info.

Got a short film under ten minutes in length. Want people to see it, comment on it, review it, and also have a chance to win another DVX? Try:

www.triggerstreet.com

It's a short film site created by Kevin Spacey and some other folks. It's pretty cool, it's 100% free, but to join you have to review other peoples work. To upload your own work you have to review other work.
As of the last contest, the winners received dvx's for first prize.

Only catch of the site is being stuck having to watch and review the odd horrible movie.

Another cool site if you have a scary short film is:

www.urbanchillers.com

I'm trying to find info on Triggerstreets 4th Festival. You know anything about it?

I'm sure there will be a 4th however it doesn't mention this fact. Do you know if they 'announce' ahead of time or what?

:P

Basically the way it works is get your short film onto the site. Then hopefully people start reviewing it. You can help your own cause by reviewing others works, in turn your show gets handed out for more reviews. When a review is done, the person is asked if they think the short should be up for the next festival. The more people who've seen it, the better of a chance of it getting into the contest. If it doesn't get in the next one, it may get into the one after, and so on. Most of the shows that were in the last festival were on the site since forever, meaning the site is getting watered down and is in desperate need of some good shows.

So upload and hope it gets seen, then when they get around to deciding it be festival time, hopefully enough people have seen your show to get noticed.

Painful part is having to get reviews... you need to participate. That means requesting reviews, done randomly by the site... which means awful show after awful show to review. Try to be nice, even when you want to scream!
