Hey everybody,

I made a 25 minute documentary this summer about a group of light saber enthusiasts in New York City called the NY Jedi. In a rush to get to the Sundance and Slamdance deadlines, I used a temp track, but I would like to have some original music.

Right now I am only using music at the very beginning and very end of the film, though I am open to using it sporadically throughout. The music I am using now is a sample of the track "Amplified Sample" by GZA/Genius from the album "Beneath the Surface." I really like the hard, driving hip-hop beat... BUT I am open to all kinds of ideas from creative composers.

If this sounds interesting to you, please PM me or email me at herbalmedia@gmail.com. I have the film on youtube in five parts right now, but most of it is private as I do not want to compromise the premiere status (I am submitting to other fests too - not that I expect to get into a Park City fest, but who knows?). I cannot afford to pay anything right now, but you may proceed with the understanding that I hope to leverage a festival screening to obtain funding for a feature-length version (shot on HVX) with a line in the budget for music.

Thanks, and I look forward to your responses.

PS - I'm pretty sure this is the right place to post this... if not, my apologies to the moderator.

Maybe post a trailer so people can see if they are a match?
