Thanks for the tests! I've been looking for some info regarding mics for the HV20. Best info I've gotten so far. =c)

Great Job.

Some where with headphones on and some with off.

That will undoubtedly affect the test.

Out of all the samples I like Lavs.... Did you use a foam cap or dust bunny to dampen the plosives?

The EW100 sounded the richest but there where some Pops and Ssss. I dug the heavier bass on this test.

Quite good all in all.

Headphones will not effect the result-unless you think it afffects my vocal output. I judged levels based on VU peak. The difference between the Lavs (even the lesser ranging ECM 44B) an the shotgun & stereo mics is DRAMATIC. I can see why most ENG, Broadcast, and a good deal of Movie depends on lavs. Only boom positioned and handled Mics are nearly as good. On-camera mics are really the poorest audio you can capture. YMMV:Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)
The lavs just had foam caps

We just bought the Rode NTG-2 kit from B&H. It's $269 with free shipping. Also got an Audio Technica lavalier mic on ebay for about $25. Won't know how they sound until they get here.

Can't wait.... but will have to.

Seen any reviews of the Rode? Amazon has only one (negative) review, but no others.
