Hello,
I just purchased a used AG HVX200P video camera. I have a question concerning the door of the DV slot. Whenever I open the door to insert or remove a tape, the door does not open completely. It opens half way. Then I have to slightly pull it out to trigger the DV drawer moving up. With other cameras, I have tried before, the door always open completely with no need for me to interfere.

I am wondering if this is the way AG HVX200 is designed or my camera has a problem with its dv door?

Thanks, Ramin

Thanks for the info. I am now experiencing other problems: The camera can not read the tape information (according to the manual). What I see at the top left is UB 27 ...!
I have tried with several tapes and this is the same with them all.

this may sound really dumb, but is the hand strap to tight that it's stopping the door from opening completely? sometime small things like that can make things seem way worse then they really are. It's a long shot but it's something to look at. Dunno about the UB27 thing though.

I am located in Canada so I need to check if it's a better idea to send it to US for service. Nonetheless, if you explain the procedure a little bit, that would be appreciated.

Thanks, Ramin

Mine does the same thing. I thought it was normal.

They all do that. I've worked with the DVX100 and it also does it. As for the Info Display you changed a setting on the menus. Post a still of the screen and I could probably tell you how to get it back to normal.

I was going to post a picture but, fortunately, I just found out what it is about! I pressed the 'RESET TC/SET' button and now, it is back to normal TC display mode. I must have accidentally pressed that button before hence switching to UB mode (which i don't know what usage it has).

So if the door is just designed to only open half-way by itself, then I am happy because my camera is problem-free.
