HELP!!! CITIDISK 24p RECORDING 60p

We are shooting 720/24p and recording to a Citidisk instead of the P2 Card. The footage is recording at 59.xx frames onto the hard drive? Why?

Is this avoidable?

Can I change this in post back to 24p?

I am freaking out, please help this newbie. Thanks.

It's doing what it's supposed to be doing. You'll have to use Apple's Frame Rate Converter utility, or the windows program Raylight, to extract the original 24 frames out.
