I shot with the xl2 last year for one quick exterior shot on a cloudy day and it looked fine. I am doing a 2nd short film with the xl2 and half the film will be shot outdoors and some in a car. I am not too familiar with how outdoor shooting looks with this camera but will I need lighting for exterior shots or no? Some shots will be done inside a car but if i open the sunroof and windows I dont think ill have a problem with lighting. I am more concerned with the exterior shots that will be done b/c i want the shot to come out clear and exposed well, any suggestions???

Lighting should be ok with the XL2 outdoors as long as it's during the day. Bring reflectors. Remember to go easy on the busy backgrounds. You can get some good footage outdoors, but if you have too much detail in the background, it might begin to look choppy. Using your zebra bars, you should have no problem with exposure.
