I got a Steadicam Flyer a month ago for my HVX and it's perfect. Been out every day with it and getting great results. Keeps me fit as well!

there is no "best stabilizer" - just a matter of what your needs and budget is.

i have a magiqcam that i like a lot - paid about $1500 for it and it appears to be similar to any of the other "steadicam knock-offs"

i also have the merlin. the HVX just about goes beyond its max weight. but without heavy mics, lens adapters or anything - it does just fine for the price ; )

go here for interesting stabilizer info:

Hi FilmBoy77,

I've found some footage from YouTube - here you will find who use "Steadicam Merlin"

What is the set up time on the Glidecam vs. the Merlin? I understand the Gladecam takes awhile to balance properly. I'm looking at upgrading our Realty products and only have two hours to film the property (with crane shots, tripod, stills, etc.). What about the Flowpod? Any suggestions on a fairly quick set up?

The figrig and some homemade stuff we tried out a while ago and it didn't really work out too well. Any ideas on set up time vs. quality vs. price?

The Glidecam 4000 is heavy, bulky and can not handle the HVX while the Merlin is perfectly balanced, lightweight and smooth as silk.

Hii guys,
What steadicam should I consider if I'd like to use with HVX + 35adapter + lenses?

How will you be controlling focus?
