That's pretty cool.
PS Filters?

I think they only work in the Olympus master software Luis, the cartoon one is really fun to play with. I'll check the roots and see if they can be tossed into the PS plug ins but I have my doubts. The ones I posted are the oil filter. The only bitch I have is they are not adjustable that I can see so they render and you get what you get.

Ahhhh - yeah, non adjustable is definitely not ideal.
I was asking if they were PS plugins because my first thought was to export video as a TIFF sequence and then batch it through something like that...could be an interesting experiment.

I was thinking along the same lines with the cartoon one:)

This is from the cartoon filter, again WYSIWYG....No Adjusting, and no batch process either. You could do the tiff sequence but you'd be old and stiff when you got it finished!

whoa great filter, the last one is awesome. it really looks like a picture (sell it to an art gallery they won't notice).

I'm impressed. The oil filter looks better to me (like that name)... for some pictures I'd love to have that option. How about a grandiose shot of an old church... do you think a bride would like that effect? I'd wager "yes".

It's cool without looking cheesy... which is a gray area with me and ps filters.

I REALLY want this filter to work with After Effects and moving image's...

Both of these filters would look great.

Mino, what card did you get that included those filters?

Exactly what I was thinking.

Tiff sequence and photoshop macro? Tedious but no work involved :)

I wonder if my pentax software has something similar. I dont think PS has anything quite like that filter wise?

How can you have a filter that you can't use in Batch Processing? I've never heard of that.

Great and interesting looks also.

The card that the free filters came with is the Olympus XD picture card type M. The three filters are oil, watercolor and cartoon. They only appear to work in "Olympus master 2" software and I'll be damned if I can find a way to adjust their output. They are a lot of fun to play with and I can see occasionally they might come in handy but not that often. Smarter people than me may find ways to make them work in other apps but I don't know of a way myself, If anyone figures that part out I'd love to know the method...Cheers:)

I'm looking at p/s cameras right now and if I can get this software as part of the deal I may go with Olympus... just for this. I like it that much... I'm just curious... when you said, "...free filters I was playing with, Yawn..." you were being sarcastic, right? I'm definitely impressed with these... enough to let it influence what camera I buy.

I meant I was so bored at that moment all I could think of doing to pass time was play with some filters. I'm a lover in the extreme sense of both my Olympus E-system cameras and everything connected with them:)

PS... the filters come with the Olympus XD picture card and not the camera. The camera can use both XD and CF storage media. Also I believe the filters also only apply to the XD type M cards. The XD card comes with a serial number that you must input to the free filter software to enable it.
