newb question.......

I've been trolling around the forums here......soaking it all in like sponge.....great Forum!

something I need to ask that I cant seem to find the answer for:

I see the HVX200 mentioned in a couple types here on the forums; ie: HVX200a or HVX200p or AG-HVX200....

So how many different models are there of this camera (if in fact there are any differences)??

thanks for any replies in advance...and thanks for the great knowledge base!

There is only one model of the HVX200 at this time.

There are different reagional versions (for NTSC & PAL areas, and to seperate out Warranty zones), and these are designated with letters after the main model number.

Do the later built cameras have smaller upgrades? I was told the battery clip/tab has been improved from earlier cameras, plus firmware, although it is not a big deal....anything else that has been improved?

Panasonic reegineered the battery tabs back in May 2006.

The latest firmware is installed on the latest shipping models, but all models can be upgraded to the latest firmware easily.

So, other than the battery tabs, the first models are identical or can be made identical to Nov2007's models.

hey all. i think there was a further revision past the battery clips. i was on a shoot a couple months ago with 3 HVX cameras. One guy had just got his spanking new and the flip out display was much better than mine and the other guys. funny, i haven't seen many people talk about it here. but i do think they improved the screen a bit.
