Last one was the glass of wine, maybe this one will be a flower or something?

When can we expect the rules to be up? I have a pretty good idea for a fest entry.

I found it fun and challenging to get a wine glass into an already written story... without is being out of place...

Looking forward to hearing the rules.

For selfish reasons, I hope the rules are about following the theme and not a lot of arbitrary conditions.

I have a project about to begin production (that is all about love) and it would be great if I could turn this into my first DVX fest entry.

I think they like to leave it a little more open.

Cheers,

Mike

Write ahead of time.I actually have mine already fleshed out. Just waiting for the rule details before I try to tie it all together.

I have a story as well... probably won't do it on my own... thinking about a colab... we'll see :)

I'm working with Jason Ramsey on one story idea now. I also have two other ideas that, if I have the time, I will write and make available for someone else to produce.

Larry R and Ramsey aye?

Yeah, but don't worry ... I still haven't broken the curse. None of the scripts I write ever actually make it into the fests http://img90.exs.cx/img90/2365/k1ocray.gif

So how long before the 'Who's In?' fest commences.

Running late.

The rules aren't going to hinder you. If you look at the "rules" for previous fests, you will see that you can go with the theme for this fest and you will be pretty much fine.

I'm sure the theme will be pretty open for interpretation as has been the case in previous fests <insert disclaimer about not being Barry_S or Larry R here>.

Giving one of your characters x name, or working in a prop requirement in a creative way (that doesn't have to be obvious and tied to the story) isn't all that hard to do after the fact. We just don't want something you already have shot. That's all. It's not going to be something to limit you in what you can do storywise.

Like Brandon did with the wine glass this go 'round. I thought that was the best use of the prop/name requirement so far. A picture taped to the computer monitor. That's great. He met the guidelines. He didn't gratuitously have his character drinking a glass of wine. You don't even notice it. That's all it has to be. Just a little easter egg of sorts. Or, you can go full on if you want and revolve the story around it too, I guess.

Don't get bogged down on that stuff. Trust me. It's not going to hinder you... if you are creative.

Later,
Jason

EDIT: Ki-Ki - I believe bballplaya wants to do the who's in thread this time and is probably going to be starting it shortly.

i am currently working on a porno... that's love, right?

For the umpteenth time, no, it's not. We don't go there on 'user, and it's strictly against forum policy to do so.

How about the forbidden love between a man, and a big ol' jar of velveeta cheese?

hmmm... gives new meaning to the idea of "product placement".

I think I heard the rule would be to include a black negligee. :Drogar-Love(DBG):

Oh, that is so cliché. :D

Ah, the days of monkey island insult sword fighting. Although the real response to the negligee had something to do with a fiancée.

Yes, we know it's all too difficult to find a place to talk about porn on the internet, right? But keep it off here. Seriously.
