AE moving graphic!

I have CS3:

So I created a graphic in Photoshop - widescreen format (everything good).

I brought into AE and added some fractal noise on a widescreen format (everything good). (Exported as an .avi and .mov and same issue)

Then I brought into Premiere to edit and it said a codec was missing.

Then I attempted to bring into Final Cut and it doesn't seem to be a true 16:9 format - and when I leave it as is it really slightly looks compressed. Any suggestions on this compressed look? Why would a codec be missing?

and I dont know exactly what codec to get???? Any ideas?

Are you saying the image is squeezed, like an anamorphic squeeze?

My guess is that problem is due to incorrect pixel aspect ratio. I'd guess that either when you created your image in photoshop, or somewhere in the after effects process the pixel aspect ratio was set wrong.

As for your codec issue, that seems odd. what codec did you use to export?
