Hope you like this better than my Vamp stuff. This is part one and is mostly scenic stuff, action stuff comes later. Thanks in advance for constructive criticism!

This might be a stupid question, but was this shot with the HV20?
It looks nice!!!
I like the footage. Good framing and everything.

I loved the footage!
Do you use the wide angle adaptor?
What mode do you prefer to shoot in with the HV20?
I loved the rain footage.
Did you add in some rain effects in post?

I have not tried the adapter yet. The true 2.35 ar is tempting!
I usually choose cinemode in 24p, then tweak it to get the flattest image possible with the widest DR; that's what I like about cinemode, is it reaches into the highlights and shadows more and gives more options in post. No effects were added in for the rain, it was just the way I lit the scene, then slowed it from 60i in post to about 30% and deinterlaced it.

OK, I re-cut it. It's a little faster and there are a few extra shots and the music is different.

Could you go through what you do exactly in order to get the shallowest depth of field possible.
Most of your shots don't seem to have been taken at the telephoto end of the HV20.

kyle, the clip is set to private so we can't see it. Can you change the settings on vimeo please?

Sorry about that. It should now be fixed. As for the shallow dof, I bought an ND filter that screws on the end, so it doesn't take much zooming with that on there in daylight. Also, I haven't used it much, but there is an aperture priority mode that allows you to open the iris all the way and exposure is compensated for automatically by adjusting shutter speed and internal ND.
