Memory card error

I took some pictures with my camera and i was looking at the photos and sudenly, a message came on the screen: Memory card error. Any idea why this thing happened and how can i get the photos?? When i try to import the card nothing is showing up on my desktop.

The card is: GTX 133x 2gb
The camera: Canon PowerShot SD750
