Say that I am shooting in the field and one of my cards fills up and I need to empty it to continue shooting. Is it possible to take the card through the Usb adapter to a PC windows laptop and copy the footage off the card to an external Hard Drive. Then, Later I plug the hard drive into my mac to use with FCS2. Would the Hard Drive appear just like the card and I would Imort and transcode the footage to whatever finalcutpro could read through the clip browsser software.
Basically I need a way to dump the cards safely to a hardrive and continue shooting.(the pc has no editing software on it)
As long as my mac will somehow be able to read the files I am fine.

That will probably work. We have to wait until it's released to know the exact workflow.

I agree with Barry. It should work without any problems and if there is any transcoding issues I imagine the Clip Browser software that comes with the camera, or XDCAM Transfer would take care of it.
