post-update 8GBP2 import problem

My powerbook no longer recognizes my 8GB P2 card, even when I "rescan" in FCP P2 import window.

I easily imported from the card before...that was before I updated the firmware! Has the firmware update done something screwy to my workflow, or am I doing something wrong?

Do the cards mount as drives and FCP can't import what is on the cards, or do the cards not appear at all?
