I did some experimenting today with shooting some 1080Pa/24 footage on my HVX, then importing it into FCP 5.1.3 and playing it through my Matrox MXO. It plays, barely, at a very slow frame rate in FCP 's Canvas window (about 1 fps), and not at all on the MXO monitor (an Apple 23 ACD that works just great with 720pN/24 stuff). It just stays frozen all the time on whatever frame it's manually scrubbed to in the Timeline.
The computer is a G5 dual 2.7 running 10.4.8, and has 3 GB of ram.
FCP's sequence and video presets are set for MXO DVCPROHD 1080P24 (or 23.98), as is the MXO's control panel "presentation" pane.
The video was captured off a P2 card into FCP on a Powerbook, with the "remove advanced pulldown and duplicate frames" box checked, and then copied onto one of the G5's drives.
Anyone have any idea what might be the problem?
