When I picked up the HPX (well when I was in the store) I could have sworn they said it came with the cables for DC power...nothing in the box...Did other people have it included in the kits?

No Cables.
I had to purchase the power supply and cables when we bought ours.

get a dual purpose charger like the titan 2 - then you can use it as a power source and/or charger

We picked up 2 of them and they really work well - albeit a little on the pricey side. I think they were close to $900 each.

I've got the Tandem 70... on camera AC adapter & 1-position charger. Amazingly lightweight, no box to drag around, and if you lose AC, it switches over to battery without a hiccup.

Thanks Editing....I knew a screw was loose in my head. I got a tandem...didn't realize it goes right on from the back....was originally thinking a cable was involved. it's pretty neat..

If you encounter audio or video noise, check to see if the Tandem "Ready" light for the battery (needs to be attached for error to occur) is blinking. Seems to occur intermittently when camera is powered up with battery attached & on AC.
If I see many more times, AB is getting a call.

Thanks for the tip. I'm only going to consider using it for worst case scenarios...i'm still tweaky when 10 years ago I got noise from plugging in my svhs camera or something like it....
