Hi guys,
First, i would like to say that i wouldn't have a cam or even be someone :-) if it was not for your great and helpful info i've been digging here for the past 3 years.
So I bought an HVX and a FS-100.
I was invited to shoot a "making of" of a feature in Brazil. My camera is from Europe, hence it's a PAL model. Although PAL is used in Brazil, it's a fairly strange kind of pal and all the DVDs here are NTSC for market purposes.
So the final output for my media is going to be a NTSC DVD.
I was planning to shoot 720/25p (since it's a run and gun situation, i don't want to run out of space) to the firestore and using this extra pixels to stabilize or recompose my footage latter, before conforming to a NTSC SD pic.
Am I dreaming or is this feasible? Also, should I just forget about 720 and go DVCPRO50 instead for a better color space?
I come from a motion design background, so i have somewhat knowledge in the software area.
Any help is fully appreciated guys. Thanks a lot.
Cheers,
Eduardo
PS: I ordered the HVX DVDs and i am looking forward for them.
