I try to solve this problem, but the people in duel say that work in fix this for six months

When the P2 insert in duel adapter the system say:
The device Generic Cardbus Controller has detected a Cardbus CARD in its slot, but the firmware on this system is not configured to allow the Cardbus controller to be run in cardbus mode. the operating system will currently accep only 16-bit (r2) pc-ca

My laptop is a HP dv 9000

any idea to fix this?

Won't work -- see the note on this page:

http://www.duel-systemsadapters.com/support/matrix.cfm

Known issues: The DuelAdapter is not currently compatible with HP 6000/9000 series computers and 32 bit CardBus cards. Our developers are working with HP engineering to fix this problem. Please re-visit our web site frequently for product updates.

You should check if the Addonics adapter (http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=110478) will work with the HP. Under Windows it apparently doesn't require any drivers.

I've heard that some people have had success with the HP laptop/Duel combo by write-protecting the P2 card, so you might try that. Otherwise I second what THoff said -- try the Addonics.
