See the lighter green part? i wanna take that out... but how...

i just want AE to publish w/o the blank black duration... (it takes long for me to save it w/ alot of frames) is this making any sense?

Trim your comp render time by grabbing the little blue bar under your 40S time mark. Move it to where you want the export to end, then export.

you can also drag the work area slider and then there is a menu item under comp call ed "trim comp to work area"

holding shift will snap the slider to edit points

its easiest and quickest to just change your work area as described above, and then only render the work area (select "work area" in your output settings) instead of the entire comp duration. alternatively, you can go to the last frame of your comp that you want to see and get the time sig, and then go into your comp's settings and change the duration to only be as long as that point in time.
