O.K. The look is not bad at all.
But, you are shooting an action movie!
You have to have believable action.
None of it was.
This is very very difficult to do right.
Here is one secret. The people who do action movies often really do get hurt.
Everyone is holding back way to much and just lightly pantomiming everything.
One way you can help to overcome some of this is vary your shots a bit more.
Lastly, is that an original composition? It sounds way to familiar and the pacing is off. The music is making us expect so much that quite frankly isn't there.
Not trying to be a dick and I am saying this only because with a few adjustments you can absolutely make this work.

I agree with Estebeverde.. The action isn't believable, and playing it in slow motion doesn't make it any more so. Also, the illegal use of the preview title card (MPAA ratings are about $3k, if you haven't paid to have a rating you shouldn't be using that title card) and the stolen music bed really make me not care to see more.
Not that I necessarily think it is a bad film, but if you're that quick to use elements that aren't yours it makes me think that your story won't be terribly original or interesting either.
Sorry if that's harsh.

I shot and edited it. I wasn't in charge of direction or choreography, but thanks for the criticism. If you will notice, it is modified to exclude that it was approved by the MPAA, obviously it wasn't. It was shown at a convention this past weekend to rave reviews. ESTEBEVERDE, where would you say the pacing is off at?

Well it is just that the music is setting one pace and the action another.
The music is outpacing the action.
I am glad to hear it got rave reviews.
It is definitely solid work for a convention or even a cult classic film.
Maybe I am a bit jaded as I just saw 30 days and nights.
But, I only gave that a 7.5 to 8.0 and you aren't really that far off from that.
Keep on shooting and editing though Kyle you got skillz and talent!

Just wanted to tell you that it was a good effort.
I'd like to see a version that isn't compressed by youtube.
I think there are a couple of things that I think could be improved.
The action choreography and the framing of the shots could use some work-but I think, the more you shoot, the better it will be-for future projects.
I had issues with the color, but that's just personal taste. I take it you were going for the whole Underworld look-not my cup o' tea, but I can understand the choice given the genre.
I didn't care for the title cards with the rose in the background.
I think you should re-edit the trailer to give some more info on the story-although I suppose the current trailer could be looked at as a decent teaser.
I think it's cool you guys were able to get so many people involved-it can be hard to get actors.
You guys seemed to have gotten some good vampire fangs.
And your film has some cute girls in it-which is always a plus.
Well, that's it. Just wanted to encourage you to keep working, experimenting and learning.
