I've grown to really appreciate his abilities. I really enjoy his narration in The Royal Tenenbaums.

He does a great Sean Connery.

Oh, and he kicks ass as a self-absorbed, overindulged, teenage-girl-chasing-leading man in State and Main.

BUt he bugs the caca out of me.

I showed that scene to my wife and she got all excited. Turns out, the actress playing the therapist is an old friend and someone she used to baby-sit. Small world.

Great Alec Baldwin scene. Almost as good as Glengarry GlenRoss.

Awesome stuff. One of the best things I've seen in a long time. I should start watching that show as well.

Man... that was freakin' great.

I can't remember who it was now... but I heard somebody on Sirius doing a killer Tracy Morgan impersonation... and it made me like Tracy Morgan a lot more then I did before... I almost crashed my truck laughing at it... and now... man, I'm a freakin' Tracy Morgan FAN!

Oh yeah... Alec was alright too ;-)

I think his best work was in "Team America World Police". Yes, I just don't like the man because of his personal life and I can't get past it.

This shows that he's got some talent...but wasn't he supposed to move to Canada?

This shows that he's got some talent

Yeah...this shows he has some talent. Nevermind Beetle Juice, Miami Blues, Heaven's Prisoners, Glengarry Glen Ross, The Cooler, The Departed...this finally proves the guy has some talent.

...but wasn't he supposed to move to Canada?

Which would have made it impossible for him to continue acting, or just required him to stop doing 30 Rock?

The question is a bit of a non sequitur.

I agree. I love both scenes. But that Glengarry GlenRoss scene...first time I saw it, I was like "WOW".

Agree on Glengarry Glen Ross. The film was based on a David Mamet play, but that role was written specifically for Alec in the movie.

Alex is very good in The Edge as well (another Mamet penned film, interestingly enough).
